Mozambique Mollusca
The identifications were only made on the basis of the photographs which is very hazardous for most of the species. As a consequence the Latin names might not be accurate.
The books used for the identification are listed: bibliography.
The group of molluscs is monophyletic (a common ancestor and all its descendants) although the aspect of its members is very different. A part from coming from a common ancestor, they share anatomical caracteristics and organisation. For an introduction to mollusca, see April website: manandmollusc.net.
There are eight classes of molluscs but you will only see here representatives of gastropods ans bivalves.
